Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Loaded Down

Today's Scripture:

The LORD brought his people safely out from Egypt, loaded with silver and gold.

(Psalm 105:37, NLT)

Today's Word:

After the Israelites had been in slavery for hundreds of years in Egypt, God supernaturally brought them out and defeated Pharaoh and their oppressors. It was a day they never dreamed would happen. But God didn’t just bring them out, He paid them back for the years of mistreatment. On their way out, Exodus 12 says, “God caused the Israelites to have favor with their oppressors, who gave them articles of gold, silver, and clothing.” They left loaded down with blessings.

God is keeping the records of what you are owed—for those times when you’ve done the right thing but been treated unfairly when you gave your best in a relationship but the other person walked away when you were repeatedly overlooked for a promotion. Your time is coming. What God has for you is still on the way. The joy that should have been yours, the resources, the healing, the good relationships, and the victories you missed out on are still in your future. He’s about to make up for the harvest you missed.

A Prayer for Today:

“Father, thank You that You keep the records of everything that should have been mine but was lost. I believe and declare that You are not only restoring me to wholeness but that You are bringing me out better than ever, that everything You put in my heart will come to pass. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
