Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Like Joseph, we may feel forgotten or unfairly treated. But in time, God’s purpose is revealed. What once seemed like pain can become a stepping stone to a greater calling. Abiding in Christ's Love

Today's Word:

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." —John 15:5 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

In this verse, Jesus uses the metaphor of the vine and branches to illustrate the importance of our connection with Him. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit unless it is attached to the vine, we cannot live fruitful lives unless we are in constant communion with Christ. When we abide in Him, His love flows through us, empowering us to live in alignment with God's will, producing the spiritual fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, and more.

This abiding is not a passive act but an intentional, daily decision to stay close to Christ through prayer, His Word, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. When we rely on our strength, we often struggle and feel disconnected, but with Christ, we are empowered to do what we could never do on our own.

Prayer of the Day:

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus, the true vine, to connect us to You. Help me to remain in Him daily, knowing that without Him I can do nothing of lasting value. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I can bear fruit in every area of my life. Teach me to trust in Your strength and guidance, and help me to stay rooted in Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
