Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Trusting in God's Promises

Today's Word:

"God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" — Numbers 23:19 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

In this passage, we are reminded of the unchanging nature of God. Unlike humans, who may fail to keep their promises or shift in their words, God's promises are steadfast and true. This assurance is a source of great comfort for us, especially when we face situations that seem uncertain or overwhelming. When challenges arise, it’s easy to doubt whether things will work out or whether God is present, but His word assures us that He is reliable and faithful. As we walk through life, we can take comfort in the knowledge that God always fulfills His promises. Whatever He has spoken over your life, He will bring to pass in His perfect timing.

Prayer of the Day:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and for the assurance that Your promises never fail. Help me to trust in Your word, especially when circumstances seem uncertain. Give me the strength to hold on to Your promises and the patience to wait for their fulfillment in my life. May I always remember that You are unchanging, and You will bring Your plans for me to completion. In Jesus' name, Amen.
