Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Be Still and Know

Today's Word:

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’” – Psalm 46:10

Thoughts on Today's Word:

In the rush of daily life, it can be difficult to pause and quiet our hearts. Yet, in Psalm 46:10, God calls us to “be still” and recognize His sovereignty. This is not just about physical stillness but a deeper surrender of our fears, worries, and control.

When we pause and focus on God, we are reminded that He is in control, even when life feels chaotic. His promise to be exalted among the nations assures us that His purposes will prevail, no matter how uncertain our circumstances may seem.

What areas of your life feel overwhelming right now? Take a moment to stop striving and invite God into those places. Being still doesn’t mean doing nothing—it means trusting fully in the One who holds the world in His hands. In stillness, we find peace, strength, and the assurance that God is always with us.

Prayer of the Day

Dear Lord, Thank You for reminding me to be still and trust in You. In the midst of my busy life and worries, help me to quiet my heart and focus on Your presence. Teach me to release control and rely on Your perfect plan. Remind me that You are God, and Your purposes will prevail. Fill me with Your peace and strengthen my faith as I rest in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
