Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Called to Follow

Today's Word:

"‘Follow Me,’ He told them, ‘and I will make you fish for people.’" – Matthew 4:19 (CSB)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

In this verse, Jesus extends a simple yet profound invitation to His first disciples: to follow Him and be transformed. He called fishermen to leave their nets and ordinary lives to pursue a higher purpose—becoming "fishers of people."

This same invitation is extended to us today. Jesus calls us not only to follow Him but to share His love and truth with others. When we respond to His call, He equips us, transforms us, and uses us to impact lives for His kingdom.

Following Jesus requires faith, surrender, and a willingness to leave behind our own plans. But the reward is a life filled with purpose, guided by His wisdom and love. Are you ready to answer His call and trust Him to lead you?

Prayer of the Day:

Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me to follow You. Help me to lay down my plans and trust in Your purpose for my life. Equip me to share Your love and truth with others and make a lasting impact for Your kingdom. Strengthen my faith as I walk with You each day. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
