Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Encountering God in the Ordinary

Today's Word:

"Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed." – Exodus 3:2 (CSB)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

Moses was going about his routine, tending sheep in the wilderness, when he encountered the extraordinary: a bush that burned but was not consumed. This moment marked the beginning of a life-changing call from God.

God often meets us in the ordinary moments of our lives. Like Moses, we must be attentive and open to seeing His presence and hearing His voice. The burning bush reminds us that God uses unexpected and seemingly simple things to reveal His power and purpose.

Today, consider where God might be showing up in your daily life. Are you ready to pause, pay attention, and respond to His call? He may be preparing you for something greater than you can imagine.

Prayer of the Day:

Lord, thank You for revealing Yourself in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments of life. Help me to be attentive to Your presence and open to Your calling. Teach me to trust You and follow wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
