Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Like Joseph, we may feel forgotten or unfairly treated. But in time, God’s purpose is revealed. What once seemed like pain can become a stepping stone to a greater calling. Rise Back Up

Today's Word:

"Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them."                       — Ezra 5:2 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

The rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem was not without challenges. Zerubbabel and Jeshua faced opposition, discouragement, and delays. Yet, they pressed on because they were strengthened by God's presence and the encouragement of His prophets.

This verse reminds us that no matter the challenges we face in rebuilding broken areas of our lives—relationships, faith, or dreams—we are not alone. God places people in our lives to support and encourage us, just as He sent prophets to Zerubbabel and Jeshua. When we trust in God's timing and His guidance, we can rebuild with confidence, knowing He is with us every step of the way.

Prayer of the Day:

Dear Lord, thank You for being with me in every season of my life. Help me to trust You as I rebuild areas that have been broken. Surround me with people who will encourage and guide me, just as You provided support for Zerubbabel and Jeshua. Strengthen me to persevere, even when challenges arise. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection:

What is one area of your life that needs rebuilding? How can you lean on God’s strength and the support of others to make progress today?
