Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Like Joseph, we may feel forgotten or unfairly treated. But in time, God’s purpose is revealed. What once seemed like pain can become a stepping stone to a greater calling. Bold Faith in the Face of Giants

Today's Word:

"Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, ‘We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.’” — Numbers 13:30 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

The Israelites stood on the edge of their promise, but fear held them back. The majority of the spies focused on the giants in the land, but Caleb saw God’s power instead of the obstacles. His confidence wasn’t in his own strength but in God’s faithfulness.

In life, we often face "giants"—challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Fear whispers that we should retreat, but faith calls us to trust in God’s promises. Like Caleb, we must silence doubt and move forward with confidence, knowing that if God has promised it, He will bring it to pass.

Prayer of the Day:

Lord, help me to have the faith of Caleb, to see Your power instead of my problems. Strengthen my heart so that I do not shrink back in fear but step forward in obedience and trust. Remind me that no challenge is too great when You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection:

What "giants" are you facing today? Are you focusing on the obstacles or on God’s promises? Take a moment to ask God for the courage to step forward in faith.
