Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Called to Serve

Today's Word:

"Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve me as priests." — Exodus 28:1 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

God chose Aaron and his sons to serve as priests, setting them apart for a holy calling. This reminds us that God calls each of us to serve Him in different ways. Whether in ministry, business, parenting, or daily interactions, we have a role in His divine plan. Service to God is not just about formal ministry; it is about living a life that reflects His love, truth, and righteousness. Just as Aaron was chosen, we too are chosen to be a light in the world. The question is—are we embracing our calling with obedience and devotion?

Prayer of the Day:

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to serve You in the unique way You have planned for me. Help me to embrace this calling with humility and dedication. Strengthen me to live a life that glorifies You and impacts others for Your kingdom. Teach me to serve with joy and faithfulness, knowing that You have equipped me for the task. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection:

In what areas of your life is God calling you to serve Him? Are you fully embracing that calling, or are there fears and doubts holding you back? Take a moment today to surrender your gifts and abilities to God and ask Him to guide you in your purpose.
