Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Faith Beyond What You See

Today's Word:

"Then He brought him outside and said, 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be.'” — Genesis 15:5 (NKJV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

Abraham had no child at the time, yet God told him to look at the stars and believe in a promise that seemed impossible. Often, God calls us to trust in His word even when our circumstances suggest otherwise. Faith is not about what we see now; it’s about believing in what God has spoken over our lives. Just as Abraham trusted God, we too are called to trust that His plans for us are greater than what we can imagine.

Prayer of the Day:

Heavenly Father, help me to trust You even when my situation seems uncertain. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight, just as Abraham did. Strengthen my heart to believe in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to fulfill them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection:

What situation in your life requires you to trust God beyond what you see? Take a moment today to surrender your doubts and fears to Him, and choose to believe in His promises.
