Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Like Joseph, we may feel forgotten or unfairly treated. But in time, God’s purpose is revealed. What once seemed like pain can become a stepping stone to a greater calling. I Will Be with You

Today's Word:

"The Lord answered, 'I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.'" — Judges 6:16 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Word:

Gideon saw himself as weak and insignificant, doubting that he could accomplish anything great. But God saw beyond Gideon's insecurities and assured him of divine presence and victory. Like Gideon, we often feel inadequate in the face of our challenges. We may think we lack the strength, wisdom, or resources to succeed. However, God’s promise remains the same—"I will be with you."

No matter what battles you are facing today—fear, doubt, financial struggles, or uncertainty—remember that God’s presence is your strength. He does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Trust that He is working through you, even when you feel weak.

Prayer of the Day:

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that I am not alone. When I feel weak or unworthy, help me to trust in Your strength rather than my own. Just as You were with Gideon, be with me in every battle I face. Fill me with courage and faith to walk in the victory You have already prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection:

What is one area of your life where you feel unqualified or inadequate? How can you rely on God’s strength instead of your own? Take a moment to surrender that fear to Him today.
