Recognizing God's Purpose

Today's Word "So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him. Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!'" — Genesis 42:8-9 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word  Joseph’s journey from being betrayed by his brothers to becoming a ruler in Egypt was filled with hardship, yet God’s purpose was being fulfilled. When Joseph saw his brothers, he remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. At that moment, he realized that everything—his suffering, separation, and rise to power—was all part of God's divine plan. Often, we go through trials without understanding why. Like Joseph, we may feel forgotten or unfairly treated. But in time, God’s purpose is revealed. What once seemed like pain can become a stepping stone to a greater calling. Redeemed and Restored

Today's Word:

"The women said to Naomi: ‘Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!’" — Ruth 4:14 (NIV)

Thought on Today's Word:

Naomi’s story is one of deep sorrow turned into unexpected joy. She lost her husband and sons, but God had a plan beyond her grief. Through Boaz, the family’s redeemer, God restored her hope and legacy. This verse reminds us that no matter how broken our situation seems, God is working behind the scenes to redeem and restore.

In our lives, we may face loss, disappointment, or seasons of waiting. But just as God provided for Naomi and Ruth, He provides for us. Jesus, our ultimate Redeemer, restores our brokenness and gives us a future filled with hope.

Prayer of the Day:

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Redeemer. When I feel lost, remind me that You are working all things for my good. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and provision. Restore my heart, my joy, and my faith, just as You did for Naomi. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection:

What area of your life do you need to surrender to God’s redemption today? How can you trust Him to bring restoration in His perfect time?
