It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’” – Acts 9:5 (NKJV) Thoughts on Today's Word: Saul, later known as Paul, was zealous in his persecution of Christians, thinking he was serving God. But on the road to Damascus, he encountered Jesus in a way that changed his life forever. His immediate response—“Who are You, Lord?”—reveals the beginning of his transformation. Like Saul, we sometimes move forward in life with our own plans, thinking we are doing what’s right. Yet God may be calling us to stop and truly seek Him. When we surrender to Jesus and ask, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” He will guide us into His purpose. Are you resisting God's direction in any area of your life? Despite being the grandson of Saul, David’s former enemy, Mephibosheth was not cast out or forgotten. Instead, David honored the covenant he had with Jonathan and restored Mephibosheth’s inheritance, inviting him to dine at the king’s table for the rest of his life.
